OMSRI was started by its parent company OMSUN Engg. Co. by Late Mr. B.V.Nagaraj in 1955.It started with a humble beginning in Bangalore to cater to the needs of farmers and small scale industrial sector.
Omsun Engineering started importing various models of Zetor tractors from Czechoslovakia to help farmers in the development of the green revolution in India. Having earned a reputed name in both sales and service OMSUN Engg. expanded its business to construction equipment. The company started dealing with Millers Timber & Trading Co. London & Bombay for Concrete Mixers and huge concrete plants of sizeable capacities, besides road asphalt plants.
